Key Installer Updates Effective April 15

Skylight Lending is introducing several important updates for installer partners as part of its April 15 release. These changes are designed to improve efficiency, expand customer eligibility, and enhance the overall experience for both installers and homeowners.

🎥 Video Welcome Calls via CallPilot
📉 FICO Score Reduced to 660
🔋 SolarEdge Battery Added

Beginning April 15, all Welcome Calls will be conducted as video sessions through CallPilot. This transition represents a significant step forward in streamlining the onboarding process while improving tracking, compliance, and customer engagement.

Homeowners will be able to access the Video Welcome Call directly through their Home Monitor portal. The system includes a clearly labeled "Join Welcome Call" button, making it easy for customers to launch their session. If a homeowner exits before completing the call, they can simply log back into the portal at any time to resume.

⚠️ Installer action required: Ensure your teams are fully aligned with this new requirement before April 15. All applicable projects started on or after this date must use the video call process.

Homeowners must be informed of the following before their call:

  • The Welcome Call is now conducted via video
  • They must log into Home Monitor to participate
  • A valid photo ID is required at the time of the call 🪪

Update 02 · Policy Change
Minimum FICO Score Reduced to 660
Effective Apr 15

To expand financing accessibility, Skylight Lending is lowering its minimum required FICO score to 660, effective April 15. This change allows more customers to qualify, providing installers with increased opportunities to close deals and grow their pipeline.

More customers qualify. If you previously had a homeowner who didn't meet the old FICO threshold, this is a good time to revisit those opportunities.
